about

Elijah Jalil is a singer-songwriter based in Missoula, Montana. Originally from the Bay Area (CA), Elijah made his way towards the mountains after studying theater in Portland, OR to work on his Masters of Fine Arts in Acting at the University of Montana. He is a dedicated social justice artist focused on changing the world by creating and collaborating on all forms of art.

Largely inspired by Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, and other Pop genres, Elijah started his journey with a guitar and his voice. After playing at multiple open mics around Missoula, the consistently magical collaboration with Britt Arnesen helped this debut album, Nothing to Say, come to life.

lyrics

HERE
Words and music by Elijah Jalil

Although we’re far away
I just wanna say
I am here for you
I am Here

If it’s dark today, then baby
I’ll be the light
To guide your way
I am Here

And I may not be here tomorrow
But baby, I’m here right now
And I hate it when you feel sorrow
But I’m here so you can let it out

Let it out, let it out, let it out
Let it out, let it out, let it out

I’m cheering loud for you
I hope you can hear me
I’m on your team
I am Here

And I’m so proud of you
It may not be clear
But your future’s bright
I’m right Here

And I may not be here tomorrow
But baby, I’m here right now
And I hate it when you feel sorrow
But I’m here so you can let it out

Let it out, let it out, let it out
Let it out, let it out, let it out

Although we’re far away
I just wanna say
I am here for you
I am Here
